Avigilon Establishes New Manufacturing Facility to Meet Worldwide Demand for HD Surveillance

New facility and advanced manufacturing techniques boost productivity and operational efficiencies

 

Birmingham, England (IFSEC 2010) – May 11, 2010 – Avigilon, the performance and value leader in high definition (HD) surveillance systems, today announced that it has added a dedicated manufacturing facility to boost its production capability to efficiently meet customer demand for its award-winning HD surveillance solutions.

A major player in the global HD surveillance market, Avigilon maintains 100% of the company’s development and manufacturing in Vancouver, Canada.

With deployments of more than 3,500 systems in more than 55 countries, Avigilon has grown rapidly as the demand for HD surveillance technology increases worldwide.

With the new facility located minutes away from the company’s headquarters, Avigilon has invested more than $2 million in state-of-the-art equipment to automate the production and assembly of sub-components and finished goods which will result in a significant increase in production and operational efficiencies.

The combination of advanced manufacturing techniques and continued investment in quality staff will enable Avigilon to continue to offer reliability and value to its global customer base while continuing to invest in manufacturing in North America
