Avigilon's New Integrated Point of Sale Security Package

Avigilon have integrated Point of Sale Transaction Data into their award winning Control Centre Software.

This new add-on will allow you to link visually lossless video to multiple transaction streams from devices such as cash registers, ATM machines, bar code scanners and turnstile/barrier equipment.

Transaction detail is simultaneously displayed alongside high definition video, with the option of linking multiple devices to just one mega pixel camera for wide angle views. Footage is time-synced to allow for fast search and retrieval for many applications including retail and warehousing, to assist with reducing stock shrinkage and improve efficiency.

POS can be linked with most bar code scanners and stock inventory systems, to monitor stock flow and confirm items have been dispatched in the correct manner and condition - in just seconds!! Retail transactions can be searched for by item or payment type to provide an exceptional investigation tool for security staff. A hassle free install is possible with a pre-configured Network Video Recorder with a three year on site warranty.

The world’s finest CCTV encoder wins ‘Top 30 Technology Innovations' 2009

Congratulations to Avigilon who has received the Technology Innovation Award for its four-channel analogue to IP encoder. This device can integrate existing analogue/digital CCTV cameras into the Award winning Avigilon Control Centre Software. The encoder will improve the quality of recorded images over an existing DVR based analogue system.

Why Avigilon IP encoders over a DVR?
Most importantly to you and your end user, an Avigilon encoder means higher recorded image quality. Avigilon encoders offer better system resilience - if an encoder fails the rest of the system will still be up and running. The relatively low cost means the transition to a high performance HD system is achievable for most organisations.

Flexible design and install means components can be distributed across the entire site, meaning in some cases one cable can be run back from multiple camera locations for minimal cost. Redundant components can be added such as network switches, failover servers and storage to ensure system failure does not occur. Use existing cabling and infrastructure to significantly improve quality and maximise existing investment. The cost savings often found with installing Avigilon systems can only mean one thing, better margin and more competitive solutions.

Good hardware is a starting point, but just how easy is the system to use? Avigilon use their own in house developed award winning control software, and team of over 40 R&D engineers to ensure fast and easy operation is possible. Live viewing, incident analysis, powerful search options, video protection and exporting can be done simultaneously and within seconds. What’s more, the system can export multiple video formats onto many media types so it’s fast and convenient, this will ensure your system never need be taken off site for analysis. With Avigilon system updates your investment will stay up to date for as long as you wish. Training is free, 24 hours a day, for all employees and for updates!

Not yet using Avigilon IP? - Consider ‘IP Video Markets’ Summary: • If you are a security manager evaluating a new DVR/NVR and are interested in megapixel cameras, you should seriously consider Avigilon. • If you are an integrator looking for a differentiated offering, Avigilon is a strong choice.
