Bosch Takes Technology on the Road

Bosch Security Systems is taking its technology on the road, quite literally, thanks to its new Mobile CCTV Demonstration Unit.

The Mobile Demonstration Unit – a Mercedes Sprinter (fitted out by Bott Ltd) – is being used to help the UK sales team demonstrate the reliability and quality of its systems, along with its ability to integrate with technology from the recently acquired Extreme Group of companies.

Products featured include cameras from the  VG4 AutoDome with Autotrack through to the Dinion range of analogue and IP cameras. Also includes the latest versions with an integrated IP infrared imager (the EX82) and the vandal resistant EX36

The van also houses a REG camera for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), along with a MIC 400 and a MIC 412 thermal camera, both of which can be mounted onto the mast on top of the van.

To demonstrate the recording capability the unit has the new Bosch Divar XF and Divar MR along with the Dibos NVR. Also onboard is a Videojet encoder to convert analogue video to IP. To complement the surveillance technology the unit also has the AEGIS UFLED Illuminators to demonstrate its infrared and White light technology, it also has a Plena system for public address. All of the technology on board is operational allowing demonstrations with live footage along with the support of previously recorded images if required.

Being mobile is already proving its worth, according to Bosch’s Steve Dobby: “We’ve already made more than 50 visits – from an RAF base to a power station – from Scotland to the south coast of England and over the Irish sea to Belfast and Dublin. It has been very well received and I am always pleased to see how impressed the customers and installers are when they see the Bosch Security products in operation.”

The Mobile Demonstration Unit is proving to be a very useful sales tool and over the course of the coming months the sales team will be drawing up a schedule to target geographical areas and work with key customers.

If you would like to discuss an opportunity for the Demonstration vehicle to visit a site for a product overview or site demonstration please contact the Bosch Security Systems office on 01895 878088 or your local sales representative.
