DEDICATED MICROS LAUNCHES HIGH PERFORMANCE

HYBRID SD ADVANCED DVR

Dedicated Micros – part of AD Group – is targeting the mid-range CCTV market with its new SD Advanced Hybrid DVR (Digital Video Recorder).

The hybrid SD Advanced comes in 32, 16 or 8 channel models and builds on the extensive features of the company’s popular SD Range with added capabilities such as IP streaming and recording, front panel local control, VGA main monitor support and the ability to configure the Oracle dome camera.

One of the first systems from Dedicated Micros to feature embedded help videos, for the SD Advanced these are accessible from both the local and remote viewer and cover all major operation and configuration topics including: the use of Point&Go, Absolute Positioning and On-Screen Maps.

When deployed the new SD Advanced is capable of the seamless recording and display of IP video streams from IP Cameras, IP domes, encoders and other NetVu Connected video servers. Telemetry is also supported, offering the ability, with the SD Advanced, to view and record IP Sources, irrespective of their location.

The Analytics Capable models of the SD Advanced can be easily upgraded to run a range of Dedicated Micros' analytics components including: ANPR, Valuable Object Watch, Perimeter Protection and Doorway Counting. This is already enabled within the hardware of the unit and only a software licence upgrade is required to activate the analytics.

With the potential for complete integration between Dedicated Micros' Oracle Dome and the SD Advanced, users can configure the PTZ dome directly from the DVR. The Oracle's enhanced features such as Point&Go and Absolute Positioning can also be accessed by the SD Advanced through an unlock code available from Dedicated Micros.

Another key feature of the SD Advanced is the potential for up to 16 SD Advanced units to be controlled from a single keyboard interface such as NetVu Console. This is especially advantageous where the units are centrally located and configured in a video wall.

Said Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros: “The SD Advanced is an important addition to our DVR range. It takes the proven strengths of the existing SD Range and integrates a number of exciting new features, such as IP streaming and recording and Oracle Dome control, to create what we believe is an extremely competitive, mid-range, DVR solution. Alongside this the series of on-board help videos should ensure that, whatever the application, the SD Advanced is used to best effect.”

UK customers can order the SD Advanced directly through Dedicated Micros e-commerce site by visiting www.dedicatedmicros.com/onlinecatalogue . The SD Advanced is also available through the usual distribution channels. For more information on Dedicated Micros please go to: www.dedicatedmicros.com.
