Pelco Introduces New DX4100 H.264 Family of Standard Definition DVRs

Clovis, CA (October 15, 2009) – Pelco management is proud to announce the new DX4100 Series digital video recorder capable of recording four analog streams.

By combining powerful video storage management with very efficient H.264 compression, this entry-level, four-channel analog DVR series offers excellent video quality at a competitive price. DX4100 incorporates many significant benefits usually reserved for much more expensive recorders – allowing users to do more with less.

With Multi Event Recording and Network Connectivity for up to 100 DX4100s, the Pelco DX4100 can fit most any entry-level video security need while offering the ability to scale as requirements grow. DX4100 allows users to record at a low frame rate and then increase speed upon an alarm to capture critical video information.

Storage can be segmented into partitions sized for continuous and alarm recording needs, allowing for more effective use of hard disk drive space. This flexibility allows for enhanced storage retention and provides a significant cost savings.

According to company officials, those customers looking to maximize their storage will not only welcome the Multi-Event Recording feature, they also will be pleased that storage models now expand up to 2 TB for those units without optical disk drives and 1 TB for those with optical disk drives.

“By offering efficient H.264 compression, an easy-to-use interface, and a scalable solution, the new Pelco DX4100 series digital video recorder allows users to do much more for less,” says Yvonne Schwemmer, Pelco Product Marketing Manager.
