Take Raytec’s IFSEC Virtual Tour

For anyone who couldn’t attend IFSEC 2010, CCTV lighting specialists Raytec have created a virtual tour of their IFSEC stand in high quality video.

Most ‘buzz’ on the stand was generated by the launch of Raylux Urban, a new range designed for multi-purpose lighting applications requiring white-light debuting at IFSEC for the first time.

Alongside the core range of RAYMAX Infra-Red, RAYLUX White-Light LED and the new Raylux Urban illuminators were a number of other interactive product demonstrations. The IFSEC video allows people to see the new Pro series power supply, shortlisted for best new CCTV product at the IFSEC awards, in action. The new Pro power supply allows users to remotely adjust, dim, pulse and activate Raytec illuminators – something that can be seen on the video.

With new explosion protected illuminators and extended range of PoE illuminators the message is clear; that Raytec can provide a diverse range of lighting solutions that can be tailored to meet any user requirement.

Take Raytec’s virtual IFSEC tour today at rayteccctv.com and see the new RAYLUX Urban, the ‘Green Focus’ energy saving demo, and the new PRO Series power supply in a live demonstration.

Raytec ANPR Improves Traffic Management at Newcastle Shopping Centre

Raytec’s latest Voyager 2 ANPR cameras have been installed at the busy Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle to improve security and traffic management. In an extension to an existing ANPR system, shopping centre managers wanted more control over access to service areas, limiting traffic to deliveries, staff and authorised contractors. Eldon Square is home to more than 100 stores, including top retail names such as John Lewis and M&S.

Local integrator, Fida Systems, designed the new ANPR system to allow entry to authorised vehicles, but to deny access to all other vehicles. The company selected the Raytec Voyager 2 units because they overcome various challenges at the site. "We had to take into account the distance between the camera and the number plate, the low light levels at the site and the high quality captured images that the client required," explains Fida’s director Marcus Given.

"Raytec’s cameras performed perfectly against all these criteria and proved to be every bit as good as claimed. With this project our client had had problems with a previous supplier and we decided to use Raytec because of its outstanding reputation for product quality and customer service," adds Marcus Given. "It was a great decision. From our initial contact through to the final hand-over we’ve been very happy with the support that Raytec has given us."

The Voyager 2 cameras are compact, integrated ANPR cameras designed to see clear number plate images 24/7 at speeds up to 100 mph and distances up to 40m (131ft). The cameras can be used directly with DVR’s on a stand alone basis or used in conjunction with LPR software systems.
