Synectics announces new ‘Simplicity’ Hybrid & Network Digital Video Recording Systems

Synectics, a leading supplier of integrated high-level surveillance and security systems for specialised vertical markets, has launched ‘Simplicity’, a new Hybrid & Network Digital Video Recording Systems range.

Providing Synectics’ enterprise-class capabilities in an all-in-one, recording, storage and management solution, the new Simplicity Hybrid & Network Digital Video Recording Systems are ideal for single and multi-site installations.

Supporting up to 16 cameras, Simplicity accepts both legacy analogue cameras (at up to full D1 frame rate across all channels simultaneously) and IP cameras. Offering a total IP solution, Simplicity also supports HD and megapixel technologies.

“As its name suggests, Simplicity has been designed with ease of installation, setup, usability and maintenance in mind,” says David Aindow, Synectics Product & Technology Director. “Flexibility of operation means that it can be deployed for standalone office, branch environments, or enterprise wide network applications.”

Addressing the most common issues for installers of DVR/NVR equipment, installing Simplicity is simple and intuitive. A true ‘out of the box’ solution, Simplicity assists installers with set-up screens to guide through the configuration process, auto discovery of connected devices, and preconfigured default users, sequences and alarm responses.

For multi-site applications, the intuitive configuration simplifies the set up process, with systems configuration achievable centrally, from just one unit, and distributed to other units on the network. Remote control of any Simplicity unit on the network combined with onboard alarm management software that can notify remote users of alarm activations means that you can rest assured your CCTV systems are in operation 24/7.

For the user, Simplicity’s on-board Synergy security management software provides a user-friendly interface for live viewing, control and playback. Featuring 16 channels, up to 4TB of storage, fully scalable, and local or centralised control, Simplicity fills the gap between buying an ‘off the shelf’ DVR and investing in a full branch wide rollout of a more complex solution.

Demonstrations of Simplicity are available now, with product availability in January 2011.
