Xtralis strengthens UK team with two key appointments

(Hemel Hempstead, 04 February 2010) Xtralis, a leading provider of intelligent fire detection and security solutions, today announced two new key appointments to strengthen its UK sales team. Richard Lee (photo top right) has joined as Business Development Manager for the UK, while Steve Wilbraham (photo top left) has returned to Xtralis as Regional Sales Manager for the South. In addition to raising the profile of Xtralis within the UK Security Industry, both will be tasked with driving sales across Xtralis’ existing range of ADPRO video surveillance and management technologies as well as a number of new products scheduled for release in 2010.

Richard has over 25 years experience in the security industry, having worked for a number of security and access control manufacturers both in the UK and EMEA. Most recently he spent ten years with Sensormatic/ Tyco as Pre Sales Technical Manager for the EMEA region responsible for the technical sales of integrated CCTV and Access Control system solutions.

In joining Xtralis, Richard hopes to build on the experience and knowledge gained throughout his career, as he explains: “In previous roles I found I enjoyed direct customer contact and involvement with the existing customer base. The opportunity with Xtralis offers me the chance to be out in the field developing business and building customer relationships. Working for an exciting business with exciting products, the role allows me to make the most of my skills and industry knowledge and do more of the things I enjoy.

“The role is incredibly varied, meeting with central stations, systems integrators and the pre-sales teams on a regular basis while also playing a part in influencing products of choice and in specifications and designs. Primarily though I am involved in building relationships to help drive sales and find further opportunities for Xtralis.

“While the majority of my time is focused on the ADPRO range of products which are well-known throughout the industry, I will also be introducing the new range of high-end IP access control, recording solutions and integrated security platform products to the customer base to demonstrate Xtralis’ capability. “I am relishing the challenge and the opportunity to raise the profile of Xtralis and its products within the UK security industry,” Richard concludes.

Steve is equally experienced, having worked in the security industry for nearly 30 years, including nine years with Xtralis. He was originally an installation and service engineer before moving into service management and project management for a national company specialising in intruder alarms, CCTV and access control. Most recently he was National Account Sales Manager for Honeywell.

In returning to Xtralis, Steve will be responsible for boosting sales across the Southern region, from the south coast as far as Leicester, including East Anglia, Kent and Sussex and across to Portsmouth. He will be based out of Xtralis’ UK Headquarters in Hemel Hempstead. Steve says he is delighted to be back: “Having prior knowledge and experience of the Xtralis product range has made for a smooth handover and a rapid integration into the team,” he says. “And with a range of new products planned for 2010, including some exciting innovations in CCTV and access control, this provides a fresh challenge that was too good an opportunity to miss.”
