MuxLab Active VGA/Audio Balun Streamlines CablingSupports RS232 or IR Remote Control
ISE 2010 Amsterdam, Booth 2A39 — MuxLab Inc, designer and manufacturer of security video and audio-video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest addition to its AV connectivity portfolio…The Active VGA/Audio Balun Kit (500145).
Developed for the commercial and residential AV market, the Active VGA/Audio Balun Kit provides enhanced performance for advanced media server applications such as security video, video-conferencing, digital signage, medical imaging, video walls, boardroom systems, classroom training, touchscreen systems, interactive kiosks and vending systems.
The Active VGA/Audio Balun allows up to four (4) single-use coax cables to be replaced by one Cat5e/6 cable for more cost-efficient cabling.
The Active VGA-Audio Balun Kit supports VGA up to 600 ft at 1920 x 1440 resolution combined with either digital or analog stereo audio for full audio-video presentations. Local monitor output is available at the transmitter.
In applications requiring control such as touchscreens or commercial TVs, the product supports RS232 or IR remote control. The product works with MuxLab’s IR Emitter (500998) and IR Sensor (500999) sold separately.
At boot-up, the Active VGA/Audio Balun Kit reads the monitor’s characteristics (EDID) and allows the VGA source to adjust its video output according to the display monitor’s size and resolution.
The performance of the product is one of the highest in its class, supporting up to 600 ft (180m) via Cat5e/6 @ 1920 x 1440/1080p and features independent gain and skew compensation. Additionally the product also supports component video (RGB/YpbPr) when used with the appropriate VGA-to-RGB cable assemblies (not included).
The Active VGA/Audio Balun Kit includes one (1) Transmitter, one (1) Receiver and two (2) power supplies.
