Allied Vision Technologies Launches Guppy PRO Family at Automate 2011
Sales start of new FireWire entry-level model. First-time joint booth with VDS Vosskühler
Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) exhibits at the Automate show in Chicago, IL from March 21-24, 2011. The show will be the platform for the market launch of the Guppy PRO camera series which premiered at the VISION show in Stuttgart in November 2010. Furthermore, VDS Vosskühler will be represented at the AVT booth for the first time since the camera manufacturer was acquired by Allied Vision Technologies in January 2011
Smaller, Faster, Better – Guppy PRO
The new Guppy PRO camera models are now available. The Guppy PRO follows the successful entry-level model Guppy. At 29x29x29 mm, the Guppy PRO models are even smaller than the Guppy to fit in the tightest spaces. The new Guppy family has also become even faster, thanks to its IEEE 1394b interface which offers twice as much bandwidth as the Guppy’s IEEE 1394a standard. The Guppy PRO range includes 6 models from VGA to 5 Megapixel-resolution delivering up to 121 fps (VGA).
Prosilica GX1920: High-Resolution Sony ExView HAD Sensor Another highlight of the AVT booth is the new Prosilica GX1920. This camera combines the new Sony ICX674 sensor with the fast Prosilica GX Dual GigE Link Aggregation interface. Thanks to the Sony ExView HAD technology, the Prosilica GX1920 offers excellent image quality and sensitivity while delivering up to 40 fps at 2.82 Megapixels resolution with its double-speed GigE Vision interface.
Infrared Cameras from VDS Vosskühle
For the first time, visitors of Automate will have the opportunity to discover VDS Vosskühler’s cameras at the AVT booth. VDS Vosskühler of Osnabrück, Germany has been a 100% subsidiary of Allied Vision Technologies since January 1, 2011. The company is specialized in digital cameras for demanding machine vision applications. Highlight of the VDS-portfolio are infrared cameras operating in the NIR and LWIR spectrum.
