CMC Markets Protects Critical Data and Ensures Regulatory Compliance with Avigilon HD Surveillance System

CMC Markets recently relocated its head office, presenting the opportunity to upgrade from an old analog-based system to the most advanced surveillance system possible. “We were confident from the outset that the Avigilon HD Surveillance System could help us achieve regulatory compliance and greatly improve our ability to secure our site,” explained Andrew Roberts, Group Facilities Manager at CMC Markets. “I am very impressed with Avigilon’s advanced functionality and am proud to show the system off—especially to IT—because it clearly demonstrates how far surveillance has come.”

Facility managers seamlessly manage the company’s surveillance system using Avigilon Control Center Enterprise NVMS with HD Stream Management, which was built from the ground up to manage HD surveillance video. Avigilon HD cameras were installed at all egress access points throughout the office and cover the lobby, main coffee area and seminar room, all clients areas, IT rooms, and the 4,000 square foot data center. CMC Markets also installed an Avigilon HD network video recorder (NVR) to store up to 30 days of continuous surveillance video. The Avigilon HD Surveillance System operates 24x7 and is monitored by a small team of administrators and managers when incidents require investigation.

With the Avigilon Surveillance System, CMC Markets has improved monitoring of onsite security and can better protect critical customer data, which is necessary to ensuring regulatory compliance.
