FLIRFSeries

FLIR Systems promotes 640 x 480 pixels image resolution

Price of F-Series thermal imaging cameras equipped with a 640 x 480 pixels detector is 30% lower than before

Security means making sure that no threat goes undetected 24/7. Contrary to other technologies, thermal imaging cameras need no light whatsoever to produce a crisp image. They can see in total darkness, through dust, fog and smoke, in practically all weather conditions.

A new standard: 640 x 480 pixels
In order to make sure you are not missing a threat, you need the best possible image quality: 640 x 480 pixels. Therefore FLIR Systems has drastically expanded its product range of 640 x 480 pixels thermal imaging cameras.

Thermal images of 640 x 480 pixels mean a 4 times better image quality compared to 320 x 240 pixels. More pixels allow the user to see more detail and detect more and smaller objects from a further distance. The cameras also work more efficiently with video analytics. A thermal imaging camera equipped with a detector producing 640 x 480 pixels will not only detect potential targets at a longer distance, it also has a wider field of view compared to a thermal imaging camera producing 320 x 240 pixels thermal images that is equipped with a lens with the same focal length. This means that you will not only detect potential targets earlier but also that you will increase your situational awareness when using a thermal imaging camera with a 640 x 480 pixels detector.

Unique temporary offer: price reduction of 30%
In order to give as many security professionals as possible the possibility to benefit from thermal imaging cameras producing a thermal image of 640 x 480 pixels, FLIR Systems has decided to lower the price of its F-Series that are producing 640 x 480 pixel thermal images with no less than 30%.

The following models have been reduced in price:

F-645: 13 mm lens – FOV: 45° (H) × 37° (V) - Human detection range: 390 meter

F-625: 25 mm lens – FOV: 25° (H) × 20° (V) - Human detection range: 820 meter

F-618: 35 mm lens – FOV: 18° (H) × 14° (V) - Human detection range: 960 meter

F-612: 50 mm lens – FOV: 12° (H) × 10° (V) - Human detection range: 1500 meter

F-610: 65 mm lens – FOV: 10º (H) x 8º (V) - Human detection range: 1900 meter

F-606: 100 mm lens – FOV: 6.2° (H) × 5° (V) - Human detection range: 2450 meter

Validity
This offer is valid for all orders of the above mentioned F-Series cameras only, that is placed between October 1st 2011 and December 31st 2011. This offer can not be combined with any other FLIR Systems promotional offer.

FLIR F-Series
F-Series are fixed mounted thermal security cameras that let you see intruders and other threats to your facility clearly in total darkness and in bad weather. There is no need for the expense or complication of added lighting infrastructure. They can easily be installed in a TCP/IP network. Analog configuration for use in legacy networks is also possible.

Advanced internal camera software delivers a crisp image without the need for user adjustments. FLIR Systems has developed a powerful algorithm that helps the user overcome the problem of finding low contrast targets in high dynamic range scenes. This algorithm is called Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE). DDE is an advanced non linear image processing algorithm that preserves details in high dynamic range imagery. This detailed image is enhanced so that it matches the total dynamic range of the original image, thus making the details visible to the operator even in scenes with extreme temperature dynamics. The F-Series provide high quality thermal imaging in any night- or daytime environmental condition.

The FLIR F-Series come with the revolutionary cassette system. No need anymore to buy a completely new camera if you want to upgrade your existing one. Exchangeable camera cassettes allow for quick upgrade or repair of sensors and optics. There is no need to send your camera back to the factory if you want to upgrade to better image quality or more range performance. This can easily be done in the field. Changing the cassette and upgrading is just a matter of minutes.

About thermal imaging
Thermal imaging is the use of cameras constructed with specialty sensors that “see” thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal, or infrared energy, is light that is not visible to the human eye because its wavelength is too long to be detected. It’s the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat. Infrared allows us to see what our eyes can not.

Thermal imaging cameras produce images of invisible infrared or “heat” radiation. Based on temperature differences between objects, thermal imaging produces a clear image. In contrast with other technologies, such as light amplification, thermal imaging needs no light whatsoever to produce an image on which the smallest of details can be seen. Thermal imaging provides full visibility irrespective of the prevailing light level and weather conditions.

It can see in total darkness, in the darkest of nights, through fog, in the far distance, through smoke and is able to detect anyone hiding in the shadows. It is used for security and surveillance, maritime, automotive, firefighting and many other applications.
