IQinVision to Preview Newest IQeye Sentinel HD Megapixel Camera at ASIS

Up to 5 MP, this new all-weather H.264 camera features remote back focus

San Juan Capistrano, CA, August 16, 2011—IQinVision (www.iqeye.com), market leader in high-performance HD megapixel IP cameras, today announced the release of the newest version of its highly-popular IQeye Sentinel HD Megapixel series of cameras.

The new Sentinel Series with remote back focus controls is an H.264 Main Profile camera available in 1.3 MP, 2 MP, 3.6 MP, and 5 megapixel models. As with all IQeye cameras, these all-weather Sentinels are designed with the installer in mind, integrating ceiling and parapet mounting options, rugged aluminum construction, and an IP66 enclosure that allows the camera to be installed quickly and easily.

Remote back focus greatly reduces installation time using the One-Touch-Focus feature for sharp video, and allows fine focus adjustments from a remote computer eliminating the need for manual focus adjustments at the camera. “In addition to the One-Touch-Focus method, advanced features can be activated remotely to optimize the focus after the camera is installed,” said Ian Johnston, IQinVision Chief Technology Officer. “The focus window size and position can be changed and the focus can be adjusted manually from the camera user interface by using the fine focus adjustments.”

IQeye Sentinel supports up to 5 MP resolution with multiple, individually-configured H.264 and simultaneous MJPEG streams, delivering the highest quality megapixel video with highly efficient bandwidth use. Innovative features like Ethernet terminal punch-down, steel camera hangers, and remote back focus drastically reduce installation costs, time, and installer frustration.  At less than 7W power consumption, the Sentinel is fully operational using only Power over Ethernet (PoE)—saving the installer and end user even more time and money on cabling and installation.

“Our IQeye Sentinel Series is extremely popular with our integrators, partners, and customers around the world. The performance, stability, remote back focus feature, and H.264 Main Profile compression make these cameras the top of their class. Add in our industry-leading warranty and our exceptional support and service, and I’m confident we’re going to be seeing a lot of new customers for the IQeye Sentinel,” said Pete DeAngelis, IQinVision President and CEO.

The Sentinel’s complete package, combined with stunning HD image quality is a winning choice with installers and customers alike. The newest IQeye Sentinel HD megapixel camera will be available September 19th. Those attending the ASIS tradeshow in Orlando, FL, 19-21 September will be able to preview the new IQeye Sentinel at Booth #1533, along with all the company’s leading HD megapixel cameras.
