IndigoVision Launches ONVIF VMS and NVRs

IndigoVision, the leading manufacturer of complete IP Video security solutions, will be using IFSEC 2011 for the European launch of its ONVIF-conformant ‘Control Center’ Video Management Software (VMS) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs).

Visitors to their stand D20 in Hall 4 will be able to view live demonstrations of ‘Control Center’ software displaying live and recorded video from multiple ONVIF cameras from other manufacturers.

IndigoVision is already an Open System for storage, access control, analytics and other security systems, in that it integrates third party manufacturers within its management software. So ONVIF is truly ‘the final piece of the jigsaw’ for IndigoVision’s open architecture in that it extends freedom of choice to third party cameras also.

ONVIF is now the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security with over 600 conformant products. IndigoVision is one of just 15 full members among its 250 strong membership and is totally committed to the standard, actively participating in and leading a number of working groups.

IndigoVision will also be showcasing its range of High-Definition (HD) cameras, including the revolutionary 11000 HD PTZ Dome. The 11000 is a 1 megapixel, 720p, day/night High-Definition (HD) PTZ Dome camera and guarantees full frame rate HD video, under all conditions. This is achieved through the use of pure digital signalling from sensor to network and advanced H.264 compression technology.

This also results in typical bandwidths of 2Mbps to a maximum of only 6Mbps under full PTZ motion. These low data-rates result in lower bandwidth demand on the network and significantly lower storage requirement, bringing all the benefits of HD to everyday CCTV applications.

IndigoVision’s range of standard and high-definition IP cameras can now be used on the same network as any ONVIF camera, allowing uses to benefit from the advantages of a complete end-to-end solution, whilst choosing ONVIF cameras for specialist requirements.
