Mirasys Video Management System 5.11

We are proud to announce the release of the Mirasys VMS 5.11 software. The software provides numerous updates and enhancements, most of which are aimed to provide even better stability and to boost performance beyond previous limits. As the most visible new changes, the software now supports Carbon Video Management System licenses for high-end top tier video surveillance, as well as open Video Content Analytics tools, allowing the users to create their own VCA rules for alarm situations.

New and enhanced features include:

Carbon VMS licenses: Mirasys VMS can be upgraded to Mirasys Carbon VMS license – providing Carbon specific features such as 64 simultaneous video channels on a recorder, and 64 simultaneous real-time windows and 16 simultaneous playback windows in a single group on Workstation. Please see the Mirasys Carbon Vide Management System datasheet for more information.

VCA support: Mirasys Open VCA platform allows easy integration of VCA solutions from leading providers to be easily integrated into Carbon VMS. The software contains a prepackaged VCA solution for analog cameras (must be activated with a separate license). The solution supports a variety of VCA events (including exit and enter filters, dwell times and direction filters) as alarm triggers. Performance boosts: Extremely optimized drawing performance in Workstation client in both real-time and playback views. Workstation can now utilize 100% of CPU power. Vastly increased recorder streaming efficiency.

WebClient localization: The WebClient user interface now supports Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Gateway performance boosts: Mirasys Gateway can now utilize all processor cores.

The Mirasys VMS 5.11 full and minimum setup packages can be downloaded from the Extranet.

Carbon VMS

Mirasys Carbon VMS provides an unprecedented level of scalability, performance and intelligence in video surveillance. It supports thousands of video recorders and hundreds of thousands of cameras in an easily manageable system. Optional video wall and reporting tools further enhance the centralized surveillance and management capabilities. Several integrated video analytics solutions are available, including a cost-effective pre-packaged VCA solution for analog cameras.

Carbon is targeted for large projects that require scalability, intelligence and integration capabilities.

Seamless VCA integration

Mirasys Open Video Analytics platform enables seamless integration of intelligent analytics modules into the market leading Mirasys Carbon video management system. The rich and open interfaces of the platform allow any type of VCA solution to be integrated – whether running in the edge (camera), network or recorder – with no changes required in the Mirasys system itself. Mirasys Open Video Analytics platform allows the customers to select on a camera-by-camera basis the most appropriate analytics functionality to be used – or to chain several analytics solutions for one camera.

Carbon VMS contains a prepackaged VCA solution for analog cameras. The solution supports a variety of VCA events (including exit and enter filters, dwell times and direction filters) that can be used as alarm triggers. The VCA filters and rules are configured through a separate configuration utility, while the VCA based alarms are configured normally through System Manager.
