 IR Remote Extender Enables AV Source Control

Montreal, Canada — MuxLab Inc (www.muxlab.com), designer and manufacturer of security video and audio-video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest addition to its AV connectivity portfolio…..The IR Remote Extender Kit (500600).

Developed for the custom residential and commercial AV market, the IR Remote Extender allows up to four (4) AV sources to be remote controlled from one (1) video display via Cat5e/6 twisted pair. Typically, IR remote control systems are limited to around 200 ft. However, the IR Remote Extender supports remote IR control up to 2,200 ft via Cat5e/6 thereby supporting a wider range of applications; venues, residential guest house, podium presentations, digital signage and classroom training systems to name a few.

The IR Remote Extender requires only one twisted pair and provides access to the unused twisted pairs for other low voltage services such as balanced audio-video and may be used in conjunction with other MuxLab audio-video baluns.

The IR Remote Extender one Transmitter, one Receiver, one (1) IR Sensor, four (4) IR Emitters and one (1) power supply and comes with a two (2) year warranty.
