Professional STM-190 19” security monitor with HDMI and SXGA resolution

Smartec security product line has been supplemented with the new STM-190 19” LCD-monitor, featuring 1280x1024 pix. resolution. New monitor is equipped with a metal housing, two audio I/O inputs, HDMI, BNC, D-Sub and S-Video. STM-190 generates clear images with up to 16.7 million colors, 1000:1 contrast ratio, maximum brightness of 250 cd/sq. m, as well as a wide viewing angle and fast response time. Reliability of monitor components ensures stable 24/7 operation in the large security system. To improve image quality STM-190 supports three-dimensional comb filter, noise reduction, deinterlacing, and others.

STM-190 is equipped with 19-inch LCD-panel with SXGA (1280x1024 pix.) resolution, so it can be optimally used for displaying full-screen images from security system cameras. It generates crisp images with 16.7 million colors and shades, 1000:1 contrast ratio and maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2. In addition, the security monitor features a wide viewing angle and 5 ms response time.

New monitors can provide 24/7 operation in the large security systems featuring 50,000 hours service life. Such a long service life is ensured by using two fluorescent lamps with cold cathode (2CCFL), which have high brightness, strong reliability and low power consumption. The security monitor also uses “Anti Burn” function to prevent pixels burnout in the long-term usage. This function temporarily suspends the illumination of individual pixels at the expense of switching between “Normal” and “Underscan” modes.

STM-190 transmits clear high-quality images using different video processing functions. For example, the monitor utilizes a three-dimensional comb filter, which separates brightness and color parts of the composite video signal, based on the hard algorithm. As a result, Smartec monitor provides superior images without distorting colors. To improve picture clarity this security monitor supports digital noise reduction and deinterlacing technology. Deinterlacing eliminates comb effect of a moving object, appearing on the interlaced image.

Different I/O interfaces allows the new LCD-monitor to operate both in analog and network security systems. For analog devices connection Smartec monitors are equipped with two BNC-connectors and a 4-pin S-Video input. D-Sub input can be used for connection of the monitor to a PC or DVR. HDMI interface allows operator to connect the megapixel IP-camera and provides the highest quality images with D1 resolution data transmission via single cable. Furthermore, HDMI features HDCP media protection, based on an authentication protocol and data encryption.

New STM-190 monitor features a rugged metal housing that protects LCD-panel from the electromagnetic fields and mechanical damage. Anti-glare screen and 160° of viewing angle allow the operator to perceive clearly displaying images from different view points. The installer can mount the security monitor on the wall using VESA fastenings and brackets. New LCD-monitor can be used as a normal computer display by attaching a special Smartec STB-M1X stand. For quick installation and configuration of the monitor as a part of the security system, STM-190 supports Plug-and-Play.
