Sheffield, UK– 15th April, 2011 – Synectic Systems Group Ltd (Synectics) a leading global supplier of integrated high-level surveillance systems for specialized vertical markets will be showcasing its cutting-edge solutions at the Counter Terror Expo, 19th –20th April 2011 at Olympia, London.

Counter Terror Expo is the critically acclaimed, highly specialised event for those who are tasked with the demanding and complex role of delivering a robust defence against the threat posed from international terrorism.

Visitors to stand P08 will have the opportunity to learn more about Synectics’ leading products and systems for law enforcement, critical national infrastructure and defence markets.

Synectics’ IP Video Systems Manager, Jonathon Squires will be presenting a workshop on 19th April entitled ‘Bringing CCTV Together with intelligence and logic’. The workshop will offer a unique insight in to how through combining data and video from disparate systems, including analytics, CCTV systems can become more efficient in providing a holistic view of events.

Key products visitors can expect to see on Synectics stand include VEEcam®, SynergyPro™ security management software and the LRS camera.

Available for demonstration, VEEcam®,a rugged video recording, streaming and image capturing device is an indispensable tool for the law enforcement sector. Acting as a visible or covert set of eyes and ears, it enables police departments and border patrol officers to record and stream operations easily and reliably.

The operator is able to capture crucial information in high quality digital video and stills format with minimum impact on their duties. Currently in use across multiple police departments in the UK, VEEcam® doubles up as an evidence gathering and reporting device, with built in IP relaying capabilities for effortless audio and video streaming. Videos are protected from tampering using an encrypted authentication process whilst a verification tool confirms videos are “tamper-free” post-download.

The LRS range is a family of camera systems for long-range reconnaissance, protecting borders, coastlines and offering military tracking and counter insurgency. The LRS range can be deployed with integrated long-range thermal cameras to provide total day and night surveillance. Employing the very latest in Electro-Optic technologies, the LRS family provides surveillance at extreme ranges – providing 24 hour capability in the detection and identification of vehicles and personnel at multi-km ranges.

Synectics’ award-winning SynergyPro™ security management software for centralised command and control is an innovative platform that ties together traditionally disparate systems such as access control, intruder detection and video systems, while managing the notification and workflow associated with system events. Synergy integrates with a wide range of IP, digital and analogue video systems, direct control PTZ devices, as well as monitoring, alarm and reporting applications, and video analytics.
