Real Time Video from Mobile Vehicles to the CCTV Control Room

~ A reliable live video feed from any vehicle equipped with cameras ~

North Yorkshire, UK – 15th Feb 2011 – Vemotion Interactive, specialists in live video transmission over low bandwidth connections, today announced the immediate availability of their Vehicle Streaming Unit (VSU).  Built upon Vemotion's acclaimed live streaming technology, the VSU is a cost effective bolt-on that brings valuable benefits to any existing investment in vehicles and CCTV equipment.

The VSU takes any analogue video input and uses Vemotion technology to compress and transmit the video over GPRS and 3G or wireless networks, back to control rooms and, optionally, out to mobile handsets enabling access to live images by operatives on the ground.

“Being able to view live video from vehicle mounted cameras, back at the control room and any other location offers many benefits and cost savings,” explained Stewart McCone, Managing Director of Vemotion Interactive Ltd, “the small size of this unit makes it easy to install in vehicles and adds value to existing CCTV investments.”

Providing live video from vehicles to Gold and Silver Command can enable more effective resource decisions to be made and cut down on decision making time during operations. Commanders can see events as they unfold and make better judgements based on live video intelligence.

The VSU has been designed with ease of use, reliability and return on investment in mind. Integration with existing on-vehicle equipment, if available, or a full installation can be provided.
