Low Bit Rate Video Transmission Comes of Age

~ What do high performance aircraft and low bit rate video have in common? ~

North Yorkshire, UK – 28th Sept 2011 – Vemotion Interactive, specialists in live video transmission over low bandwidth connections, today announced the launch of a new product set consolidating and rationalising the Vemotion solutions into a concise set of defined products and capabilities.

The new product set is a family of products addressing 6 distinct deployment options and based on a new dedicated hardware module incorporating the compression capabilities which form the heart of the Vemotion solution.

The six deployment options are ....

1. Body-worn

2. Vehicle mounted

3. PTZ Dome Camera kit

4. Module to support existing cameras

5. Ruggedised portable unit for external surveillance

6. Multiple input with advanced bandwidth management

“Over the last 18 months we have completed a number of key council, blue light and military deployments which have consolidated our understanding of the market requirements and allowed us to optimise the Vemotion solutions with our PCB hardware module,” explained Stewart McCone, Managing Director of Vemotion Interactive Ltd. “The new products have been named after high performance aircraft representing the high performance and cutting edge performance of our products,” added McCone.

The foundation module, known as Mosquito, will be available in the next 60 days and, following its debut at DSEi this month, will be exhibited at PSE and Milipol over the next few weeks.  The first models for release will be the OEM base module, the Vehicle Units Cheetah and Eagle which will be available within 60 days, the other units following shortly after.
