Veracity's Latest COLDSTORE VMS Partners on display in ISC West Booth #22083

News about COLDSTORE, the world's first storage system designed specifically for video surveillance recording, is steadily spreading across North America as end-users commit to large-scale installations of this revolutionary product.  With solid success in Europe, especially the UK, and gaining ground rapidly in the USA, COLDSTORE is gaining a high profile among consultants, integrators and end-users.

These industry groups are starting to realise the significant constraints and shortcomings of standard RAID solutions, especially for surveillance applications.  COLDSTORE not only solves these problems completely, but actually adds new capabilities (such as extremely simple disk management and instant mass export of evidential data).

Instek Digital, the first Video Management System manufacturer to fully support COLDSTORE, has been reaping the benefits of the unique specification and capabilities of the Veracity storage system in a number of projects worldwide.  Instek now been joined by Synectics, a leading global provider of VMS systems for casinos and enterprise projects, and by JDS, a long-standing US-based specialist in IP video recording systems.  

Instek and Synectics will both be showing their respective VMS systems within the Veracity booth; JDS will be showing its integration to COLDSTORE in their booth, #25108.

Veracity will be announcing further integration partnerships at ISC West. Additional COLDSTORE integration announcements will be throughout the rest of 2011, as our pipeline of partnerships, including some major players, result in completed integrations.

COLDSTORE partnerships and installations (both completed and planned) already represent over 2 petabytes of storage and this is set to increase dramatically in the USA as Veracity gains project wins  with major school districts, casinos and other enterprise-level installations.

Why are so many choosing to use COLDSTORE? Perhaps because...

- Disks are switched off for 87% of the time
- Disk reliability increases by an order of magnitude
- Power dissipation is minimal; disk read/write performance is maximized
- SATA disks of any make/model/capacity may be used and mixed
- Temperature, vibration and wear on disks is dramatically reduced
- No data loss on disk failure during writing process
- No disk rebuilds required
- Disk management is simple for the end user
- Physical location of any particular time span is done in seconds
