Axis introduces small and affordable wireless cameras with support for hosted video services
Axis Communications today presents small and affordable AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W Network Cameras with wireless capability and smart video surveillance features. They offer wide-ranging video management support as well as Axis' unique One-Click Camera Connection for easy hookup to a hosted video service over the Internet.
They are ideal for securing locations such as small businesses, retail stores, restaurants, hotels and residences where a wired connection may be difficult or undesirable.
"AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W enable intelligent, cost-efficient surveillance for on-site or hosted video systems and they represent an attractive addition to our AXIS M10 Series," says Phil Doyle, regional director, Northern Europe, Axis Communications. "These new wireless cameras, with a push-button for easy WLAN pairing, provide small businesses and residential users with an effective and easy-to-install surveillance tool."
These latest models of the AXIS M10 Series provide excellent video quality at 30 frames per second in both SVGA (AXIS M1033-W) and HDTV 720p (AXIS M1034-W) resolutions. They feature wireless capabilities with WiFi Protected Setup protocol (WPS), which simplifies the process of configuring logical security on wireless networks.
The combination of the wireless 802.11b/g/n standard and the WPS protocol assures user-friendliness and high network security, while enabling HDTV video to be streamed reliably over a wireless network.
The cameras also feature a passive infrared (PIR) sensor for detecting movement in the dark and a white LED light for illuminating the scene automatically when motion is detected or when activated by the user.
They support two-way audio with an integrated microphone and speaker, allowing users to listen in on an area as well as playback a recorded audio clip to visitors or intruders remotely. In addition to these features, they include I/O ports for connecting devices such as door sensors to initiate video recording and external relays to activate lights.
AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W models are supported by the industry's largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program, and AXIS Camera Station.
The cameras include support for hosted video with One-Click Camera connection for managing video hosting services over the Internet; and ONVIF for easy camera system integration.
AXIS M1033-W and AXIS M1034-W are expected to be available for order in Q2 2012.
