Canon and partners show expanded network camera range at IFSEC
LONDON, April 26, 2012 – At IFSEC, Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, will show its full range of network cameras at IFSEC (Hall 4, E40) including the feature-rich VB-M600VE megapixel camera and the recently announced outdoor Pan Tilt Zoom XU-80. The stand also includes an Integration Zone, where leading video surveillance management companies will demonstrate complete security solutions using Canon cameras and third party software.
Canon’s stand will show all models from its megapixel range. This includes the VB-M600VE, which offers high resolution capture, an ultra-wide angle lens, 3 x optical zoom, sophisticated video analytics and a remote-controlled Pan Tilt Rotate Zoom (PTRZ) function for remote installation set-up.
With a durable polycarbonate and aluminium dome case the VB-M600VE is a strengthened vandal-resistant camera, shock-resistant to 50 joules. It includes a ‘camera damper’ mechanism which automatically retracts the lens inside the casing by 15mm on impact. These features make it suitable for use in areas which are prone to vandalism, such as transport hubs, car parks or anywhere where the camera is within reach of the public.
Canon’s XU-80 (photo above) is a Pan Tilt Zoom camera offering exceptional picture quality from long distances. The XU-80 produces high quality Full HD (1920×1080) video, using a single 1/3 inch CMOS imaging sensor with 2.1 Megapixels.
Together with a wide pan and tilt range and a Canon 20x optical HD zoom, the IP55-rated camera will help security teams to closely monitor large areas, even in challenging environments.
Demonstrating Canon’s commitment to working with the main players in security software, Canon’s stand will also include an Integration Zone. The zone will show how Canon’s cameras deliver outstanding results as part of solutions from leading video surveillance management software companies, AxxonSoft, Genetec, Milestone Systems and NETAVIS Software.
Julian Rutland, Visual Communication Products and Solutions Director, Canon Europe, said: “All of our network cameras benefit from Canon’s 70-year heritage at the forefront of lens design. At IFSEC we’re inviting visitors to come and see the difference for themselves through demonstrations of real solutions - our aim for the show is to sign new partnerships by providing products that offer ground-breaking image quality.”
