ELMDENE APPOINTS HUGH DEVEREUX AS NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Innovative electronic security and fire products manufacturer, Elmdene International Limited - a subsidiary of Potter Signal, LLC - announces the appointment of Hugh Devereux as its new Technical Director to further strengthen the company's product development process.
Hugh, who joins Elmdene this month (June), brings a wealth of experience to the position across product management, fast-track product development and product introduction to manufacturing. Significantly, he has spent the majority of his working life in the security sector, Government organisations and major manufacturing concerns.
Most recently, Hugh was the Director of Product Management at AD Group, and its subsidiary Dedicated Micros, where for the past two years he was tasked with growing the mobile CCTV business.
As Elmdene's Technical Director, Hugh will be responsible, primarily, for the company's large engineering team, driving forward all aspects of product innovation and development. A key task will be ensuring that the resulting solutions meet the operational requirements and high standards demanded by Elmdene's expanding distributor, installer and end-user customer base.
Commenting on his appointment, Hugh said: "I am looking forward to the opportunities presented by working for Elmdene, a company which over recent years has built a strong reputation in the marketplace for the quality of its product lines. Being Technical Director gives me a fantastic opportunity to broaden my experience into new technology areas and, crucially, to play a central role in the strategic path of the business delivering solutions which add real value for customers. There are number of key innovations coming through such as the PoE (Power over Ethernet) standby PSUs devices and the continued expansion of switch mode power technology which I will now be helping to steer.
Said Ian Moore, Managing Director, Elmdene International Limited: "We are delighted to have someone of Hugh's calibre joining us at a time when we are launching more new products than ever before. The Technical Director sits right at the heart of what we do as a business so it is imperative that we have the right person in place to push forward our ambitious product development plans."
