MuxLab Active VGA Managed System Streamlines Digital Signage Cabling

See a live demonstration at ISE 2012 Booth 1H2

ISE 2012, Booth 1H2 - MuxLab Inc (www.muxlab.com), designer and manufacturer of CCTV and audio-video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest addition to its AV connectivity portfolio…..The Active VGA Managed System (500170/171/172/174).

Developed for the digital signage market, the Active VGA Managed System is a family of distribution hubs and receiver that allow a single VGA and audio source to be distributed to multiple VGA displays up to 2,000 ft (610m) from the source. The system comprises three components; Active VGA Managed Dispatcher Hub (500170/171), Active VGA Managed Repeater Hub (500172) and Active VGA Managed Receiver (500174).

The Dispatcher Hub (500170./171) distributes the VGA source to up to eight (8) or sixteen (16) displays up to 1,000 ft (305m) via Cat5e/6 cable. The hub is cascadable with the Repeater Hub (500172) for an additional 1,000 ft (305m) and supports RS232 for out-of-band control of gain, sharpness and skew.

The Repeater Hub (500172) extends the cable length an adddiitonal 1,000 ft (305m) when connected to the Dispatcher Hub (500170/171) and distributes the signal to up to eight (8) receivers. The 500172 also supports RS232 for out-of-band control of gain, sharpness and skew.

The Receiver (500174) works in conjunction with the Dispatcher Hub (500170/171) and Repeater Hub (500172) to convert Cat5e cable to VGA/Stereo Audio and distributes it to up to up to two (2) VGA displays (Dual-Head).  The 500174 supports up to 1,000 ft (305m) via Cat5e/6 @ 1920 x 1440 resolution and supports gain, sharpness and skew adjustment via manual pushbutton, GUI and RS232. The 500174 features VESA 75/100mm mounting flanges for neater installation behind displays or projectors.

The Active VGA Managed System includes software that allows the gain, sharpness and skew at the receivers to be adjusted without the need to go to the receiver.

In order to support "green" initiatives, the user manuals and software for the Active VGA Managed System must be downloaded from MuxLab’s website.  The product has a 2-year warranty and complies with HDMI , FCC, CE and RoHS standards.   See the product in action at ISE 2012, booth 1H2.
