Samsung to promote Smarter Security at IFSEC 2012

Stand D130 Hall5

Samsung’s stand in hall 5 at IFSEC 2012 will be dedicated to demonstrating its ability to support installers and system integrators with Smarter Security solutions.

“Smarter Security is primarily about how customers can upgrade from an analogue system to an IP and network based solution in the smartest possible way for their businesses with the help of Samsung,” said Simon Shawley, General Manager, UK and Ireland for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. “We want to prove to installers and systems integrators, as well as specifiers and end-users, how they can choose Samsung IP equipment and be confident it will meet, if not exceed, their expectations.”

A key objective for Samsung during IFSEC 2012 will be to take the mystery out of installing an IP and network solution and by doing so, demonstrate to customers that with the correct advice and guidance, they need not have any fear of embracing what is truly an exciting technology that offers so many benefits. Not the least of these benefits is the opportunity to gain maximum advantage from the latest HD megapixel cameras.

The Samsung stand will be packed with interactive product demonstration areas where visitors will be able to try out the latest IP and network video surveillance and access control technologies, many of which are unique to Samsung.

“Samsung has been acknowledged by independent research companies as one of the top three European security brands,” said Simon Shawley.  “Our ability to maintain this market leading position is strengthened by our very comprehensive range of IP devices, from cameras to recorders and switches, and we can now offer a one-stop-shop for virtually any project.”

Smarter Security

Samsung manufactures video surveillance and access control products designed to meet the current and future needs of security professionals. The products utilise innovative technologies, many of which are unique to Samsung, which can deliver tangible benefits and outstanding value to those involved in combating criminal activity, whilst offering time and cost saving advantages to installers and system integrators.

Samsung’s philosophy of delivering Smarter Security is reflected in a product portfolio which provides customers with the flexibility to choose the best solution for the job in hand. This choice includes a comprehensive and competitively priced range of analogue cameras, DVRs and monitors, a complete end-to-end IP solutions range, licence-free viewing and recording software, and an impressive line-up of high definition megapixel cameras which incorporate Samsung Techwin WiseNet DSP chipsets to allow the multi-streaming of video whilst putting the user firmly in control of bandwidth management. ‘Hybrid’ options include encoders which provide a cost effective and easy to implement method of adding analogue cameras to an IP/network based video surveillance system, and HD-SDI cameras which allow the transmission of uncompressed and non-packetized Full HD (1080P) video over analogue cabling.

Samsung’s biometric, proximity and smart card & PIN based access control systems can be fully integrated with Samsung’s SRD digital video recorder range. This allows users to achieve maximum advantage from their investment in a security system by ensuring that access control events and alarms can be reliably synchronised with relevant video.

Offering ‘Best of Class’ products and solutions is only part of the process of delivering Smarter Security. Every one of Samsung’s products, many of which have been highly rated in independent product tests, is backed-up by unbeatable pre and post sales support. Training is at the heart of a range of support services which also includes free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty. Samsung offers IP network solutions training courses for installers and system integrators and on its stand at exhibitions, such as IFSEC, will have hands-on workshop areas to give sales professionals and technicians the confidence to recommend, design and install an integrated IP network based access control and video surveillance system.

Samsung’s professional security products are widely accessible across Europe via an extensive network of distributors.
