SightLogix CEO To Moderate Critical Infrastructure Protection Panel at SIA Government Summit

Princeton, NJ (June 12, 2012) – John Romanowich, President and CEO of SightLogix®, Inc., will moderate a panel discussion on critical infrastructure protection at the 2012 Government Summit presented by the Security Industry Association (SIA) June 19-20  in Washington, D.C.

Speakers for the panel include Charles Chambers Sr., Vice President, National Safe Skies Alliance, Inc.; William Flynn, Deputy Assistant Secretary, DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection; and John Moteff of the Congressional Research Service.

“Securing perimeters around critical assets is gaining attention across all sectors of the market, including energy, transportation and utilities,” said Mr. Romanowich. “Our panel will provide valuable perspective from some of the nation's most influential thought leaders on the key priorities, legislation and funding for security technologies.”

The SIA Government Summit, to be held at the Embassy Suites Washington Convention Center Hotel in Washington, D.C., is the premier public policy event in the security industry, providing participants exclusive insight into legislation, regulations, procurement policies and other information to anticipate future changes in the government, related agencies and the private sector.

Summit speakers this year include Congressmen Pete King, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, and Robert Aderholt, chairman of the House Appropriations subcommittee on Homeland Security. Other featured speakers are Mark Borkowski, Assistant Commissioner of the DHS/Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Technology Innovation and Acquisition; political figure and TV personality Fred Thompson; and best-selling author Brad Thor.

Mr. Romanowich is a member of SIA's Board of Directors, chairman of SIA's Critical Infrastructure Protection Working Group, and received SIA’s “2011 Statesman Award,” the highest honor given to a member each year. Mr. Romanowich is also chairing SIA’s Perimeter Security Subcommittee for establishing security equipment performance and operational standards.
