Bosch introduces new Divar high-performance Digital Versatile Recorder

High resolution and real-time frame rate capabilities

* Real-time recording and playback in genuine 4CIF resolution

* Advanced H.264 compression minimises storage capacity required

* Easy integration into any security management system

Never a company to rest on past achievements, Bosch Security Systems is introducing a new addition to its Divar family of Digital Versatile Recorders (DVRs). The advanced Divar XF DVR offers real-time recording and playback in full 4CIF resolution (CIF: Common Intermediate Format) , providing higher quality images for both live viewing and recorded video.  Moreover, Bosch’s advanced H.264 compression technology minimises system bandwidth and storage requirements, reducing storage costs by as much as by up to 30% compared with systems that use traditional MPEG-4 encoding.

The Divar XF also features four hard disk drives accessible from the front of the unit for easy servicing. Front accessibility also means drives can be easily added or even replaced with larger capacity drives, providing the flexibility to add additional storage capacity when needed.

The system includes Divar XF Control Center software for complete remote management of the system, including live viewing and control, playback, configuration, remote alarm notification and easy exporting of recorded video. With the Divar XF Control Center, all operations and control can be centralised to create a highly scalable video management solution.

Using the Bosch Video Management System (VMS), the Divar XF can be integrated into any Bosch IP network surveillance system to provide comprehensive, centralised control over an entire CCTV network, including cameras and storage devices. And using Bosch’s new VideoSDK (Software Development Kit), Divar XF can easily be integrated into third-party security management systems.

The Divar XF is intended primarily for medium- to large-scale or growing surveillance systems in for example shopping centres, banks and financial institutions, city centres, casinos and hotel complexes.
