DEDICATED MICROS’ NETVU CONSOLE SHORTLISTED

FOR SICUREZZA SECURITY AND SAFETY AWARD 2008

Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - reports that its NetVu Console solution has been shortlisted in the high profile Security and Safety Award 2008 to be held at the Sicurezza exhibition in Italy (25 - 28 November). A powerful remote CCTV viewing station, NetVu Console, duplicates the local control functionality of a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with minimal training and installation requirements.

NetVu Console, a finalist in the Innovation category of the Security and Safety Award 2008, is suitable for rapid deployment on any site where there is a guard station, including universities, hospitals and manufacturing plants. It meets the demand for a remote monitoring device that is simple to set-up and operate and provides a non-PC-based alternative to remote viewing and Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control of CCTV cameras over the network.

The next stage of the Safety and Security Awards will see the judges visit exhibitors' stands during the first day of the Sicurezza exhibition to conduct a detailed examination of the selected solutions. The winner in each category will then be announced at a prestigious Security & Safety 2008 Awards Ceremony on 26 November.

Said Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros: "We are extremely pleased that NetVu Console has been selected for the final stage of the judging process at the influential Safety and Security Award 2008 during Sicurezza. The innovative nature of NetVu Console has already been recognised across the globe, most recently it secured the New Product Showcase (NPS) award in the Monitoring category at the ISC West 2008 show in Las Vegas, USA, a success which we hope will be repeated at Sicurezza."
