AD GROUP COMPANIES IN THE RUNNING
FOR FOUR IP-IN-SECURITY AWARDS

CCTV specialist AD Group announces that its subsidiaries - Dedicated Micros and D-Tec - are in contention for a combined total of four awards at the prestigious IP-in-Security Awards. Dedicated Micros is through successfully to the second stage in the ‘Hardware’, ‘Software’ and ‘Application’ categories and D-Tec for the ‘Application’ award. The ultimate winners will be announced at an Awards Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry, on Wednesday 28 January, in conjunction with the IIPSEC 2009 exhibition.

The Dedicated Micros entry, which has reached the second stage of judging in the ‘Application’ category, is for the Canadian Capital, Ottawa, where DVRs and the latest TransVu mobile technology have been deployed as part of a Proactive Audio-Video (PAV) surveillance system to protect public parks, swimming pools and other areas of the city.

Under ‘Software’ Dedicated Micros will be hoping that the innovative nature of its new Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification System will help it to secure award honours. This provides an unparalleled situational awareness and two-way communication capability with specified assets should there be a major incident or disaster.

In the ‘Hardware’ Award, Dedicated Micros is a contender with its DV-IP Server and embedded NetVu Console functionality, which delivers a powerful embedded virtual matrix that can duplicate the functionality of its award-winning NetVu Console hardware.

D-Tec is in the running in the ‘Application’ category for its IP-based, NetVu Connected, FireVu, system which in conjunction with its partner in the Middle East, BSS-ME has provided a CCTV-based VSD (Video Smoke Detection) solution for the main tunnel at the famous Palm Jumeirah man-made island in Dubai.

Said Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at AD Group: “We are extremely pleased that both Dedicated Micros and D-Tec have reached the second stage of the IP-in-Security Awards across all the categories entered, highlighting as it does our considerable expertise delivering CCTV solutions from security to fire prevention across the IP environment.
