London 28th January 2008 - More than 500 market leading companies have already confirmed their presence, including household names such as Honywell, Panasonic, Samsung, JVC, IBM, Cisco, Siemens, Tyco, NICE, Axis, Milestone, Sony, BAE Systems and many more. As the annual meeting place for security professionals worldwide, there will also be vast networking opportunities.

IFSEC 2009 will contain a high-level three-day conference programme covering the most cutting-edge issues for the security industry today. Visitors will be invited to use the event’s “pick and mix” agenda to ensure they have the opportunity to address all their key security challenges.

Each day of the conference will be dedicated to a specific area of security. Day 1 will look at Global, National and Local Protection, day 2 will focus on Corporate Security Management and day 3 will explore Technological Innovations in Practice. With a number of industry leading voices scheduled to speak, including Steve Fowler, CEO, The Institute of Risk Management and Stephen Cooper, Head of Security, Olympic Delivery Authority, delegates will have the opportunity to learn first-hand from the best of the security profession.

The educational programme has been a hugely popular feature of IFSEC for many years. The programme has been further expanded for 2009 to provide the most comprehensive educational content ever to be featured at a security event.

Visitors will have the opportunity to attend over 100 hours and 150 individual complementary seminars to learn about the latest issues facing the industry and receive best practice advice from industry luminaries. “The Hothouse Series” is a new programme of seminars aimed at installers. Topics to be covered include managing business through an economic downturn, dealing with tax, red tape and the rising cost of fuel, as well as selling security in a downturn to a variety of vertical markets.

Once again visitors to IFSEC 2009 will be able to explore the latest security products and services available both in the UK and worldwide. The exhibition will be organised into the following categories: IP Networks and Integrated Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Physical Security, Counter Terror and Security Solutions. Furthermore, a series of new product showcases will focus on the latest technologies and innovations and will be available to all delegates free of charge.

James Blue, director of fire & security at UBM Live, organisers of IFSEC comments: “Having celebrated our 35th anniversary last year, IFSEC 2009 looks set to build on our previous success.
