JVC reports success after IIPSEC 09 show
Interest in JVC network and surveillance products higher than ever

London, UK, 6 February 2009 - For JVC at IIPSEC 09, sales enquiries were up 60% on last year at IIPSEC 08. Even in today’s challenging economic environment, people are turning to specialist and high-performance products for their IP market needs. With a brand name well known for reliability and durability, JVC demonstrated its commitment to the IP market sector by putting on one of the most impressive stands at the show. The quality and innovation was evident in the complete JVC offering this year, with three new products on show for the first time in the UK.

These were the new VN-V685U, the world’s first fully-functional PoE PTZ dome camera, and the VN-X35U & VN-X235VPU Megapixel cameras, described by Phil Wring, Sales Manager, JVC Professional Europe Ltd. as, “the outcome of many years of security industry knowledge,” and as, “some of the highest-performance cameras to be found in the market today”. Phil added, “As a major player in the IP market, this show was a must for JVC. It more than met our expectations, and although overall show attendance was down this year, interest in our products was higher than ever. Installers and end-users alike know that they will get a complete end-to-end solution from us, along with the peace of mind that comes with our comprehensive training and support.”

The VN-V685U features a 27x optical zoom and True Day Night capabilities and uses JVC’s durable Direct Drive Motor to enable precise and accurate panning operations. It also enables simultaneous distribution of full-frame MPEG-4 and Motion-JPEG streams. The VN-X35U 1.3 Megapixel camera is able to record dual-stream Quad-VGA  Motion JPEG and VGA MPEG-4 and has a wide range of features including an Easy Day Night colour/mono function for 24/7 viewing and active gamma function (Easy Wide-D) for backlight compensation.

The camera has built-in motion detection, an external alarm input/output and a pre- and post-alarm buffer of up to 8MB. It has bi-directional audio communication and a built-in display mode (LCD1/LCD2/CRT or custom selectable) plus an unlimited number of positions for privacy masking. Open architecture API simplifies integration and up to 20 simultaneous users can view images (unlimited users via multicasting). The VN-X235VP4U is a vandal-resistant mini dome version of the Megapixel camera. True Day Night capabilities give optimum picture quality under low light conditions.

Also on show were JVC’s existing range of IP dome and static cameras, LCD monitors and 16-and 9-channel network video recorders with embedded Milestone XProtect software, offering users a complete IP network solution. JVC’s range of CRT and LCD monitors are well known throughout the industry for their exceptional image quality, ultra-high resolution, durability and longevity. They can be found in most command and control rooms across Europe. The LCD monitor wall at IIPSEC consisted of six 19” LM-H191 monitors and two 52” GD-F52L1 large format LCDs.

In addition the JVC Demo Van (see photo above) was in pride of place outside the IIPSEC venue. JVC's van has been touring Europe to demonstrate to key partners the entire range of products. It has so far been to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland, and it is in the UK this month (February), returning to the UK again in July. - ENDS -
