Wavelet Technnology's new OPAL
Network Video Recorder (NVR)

Wavelet Technology announce new product launches

Dateline:- September 04th 2006, London, U.K.

Wavelet Technology have announced the launch of two new products into their existing range of digital video recording solutions.

The OPAL Network Video Recorder (NVR) which is specifically designed for use with a range of megapixel and network cameras, is a low cost solution providing a powerful, scalable recorder in a compact design.

As an embedded Linux based real-time capable system, it offers 9, 16 or 32 camera inputs, providing a range of record and display options, when used with cameras from leading manufacturers such as Arecont, Axis, IQinvision, Lumenera, Mobotix and Sony.

Equipped with various hard disc drive options from 250Gb's up to 750Gb's, the OPAL is operable on a 100 Base-T or Gigabyte LAN / WAN network, with scalable connectivity for up to 256 units.

Ideal for use in commercial and industrial applications, the unit is supplied with standard client remote viewing software, allowing secure internet access with intuitive search and playback controls, and easy copying of selected images or video clips.

Also announced this week, is the new EVIS Security Management Software - designed to provide a flexible platform for the display of high resolution megapixel images, streamed simultaneously with analogue and IP camera feeds from a range of sources.

The high resolution display can provide a versatile zoom function using fixed megapixel cameras, whilst also interfacing with a range of security, access control and building management systems, all easily managed using icon driven menus on a single screen.

Advanced features include event logging and alert sequences, supported by a highly flexible user friendly interface, which allows customisation of the display to suit any situation. Although designed for use with the Wavestore range of DVR and NVR solutions, the EVIS software can also be integrated into legacy or third party recording systems.

Further details on the EVIS software suite and evaluation software, are available from Wavestore Technology's website at:- http://www.wavestore.com/evis.htmlpixel
