Pelco DX 8000 Version 2.0 Recorder

The latest new product releases from Pelco

Dateline:- April 5th 2006, Clovis, California, USA

Just in time for the ISC West event in Las Vegas, US manufacturer Pelco have announced a number of new products, to add to their already significant portfolio.

The new DVR 5300 is a high performance recording system designed for mission critical enterprise applications. Suitable for use with either IP enabled or conventional analogue cameras, the DVR 5300 provides the missing link between standard DVR's and their larger IP based NVR cousins. Designed to occupy just 9U of rack space, to provide 48 channels of 4CIF quality in real time (30ips) over a continuous record period of seven days, the unit can be fully integrated with the Pelco CM 9700 matrix switcher, using a companion ENC 5316 USB encoder.

Still on the subject of recorders, a new DX 4000 four channel MPEG - 4 based DVR, is introduced to the market as an entry level machine, ideally suited to use with either broadband or LAN / WAN network access, for straightforward remote monitoring. Pelco PTZ cameras can be easily controlled from the DVR, and recording can be triggered from either alarm or motion activity, if required.

As an update to the established DX 8000 DVR, newly released Version 2.0 software builds on the recognised strengths of the system, whilst providing ATM and POS integration, multi event recording, flexible camera control for other manufacturers dome units, and a new level of keyboard / joystick compatibility for improved camera control. New software features enable ATM / POS data to be treated as easily searchable fields, and greater flexibility both in terms of programming recording rates, and also management of up to 80 cameras and 100 servers, offers an awesome degree of control for any high end application.

As the latest upgrades to the company's camera range are announced, over a dozen new cameras have now been introduced with 540 lines resolution as standard. The new series CC 3770UH, CC 3710UH, CC 3610UH and CC 1380UH offer a range of ultra high resolution models suitable for almost any situation.

The proven technology of the company's Spectra III dome camera, has now been released as an Endura™ compatible unit, known as the Spectra III EVS. Designed to provide all the very best from the established analogue series, the EVS now offers dual MPEG - 4 streams, and can process images in real time (up to 30 ips) at 4CIF resolution. The unit includes built in back box memory, seven alarm inputs plus an auxilliary output, and all delivered using standard CAT 5e (or higher) cable compatibility, through a single RJ - 45 connector.
