Guide to Closed Circuit TV (CCTV)

So would you like to play "Spot the CCTV Camera?". Eagle eyed visitors may recognise the profusion of street furniture, surrounding a single heritage dome camera keeping watch over part of Londons' prestigious Oxford Street shopping area.

All you need to know about lenses,
for all types of video surveillance.

A basic Lens Focal Length selection guide

The basic lens guide detailed below, is intended to provide an indication as to the various focal length lenses, that can be used on the most popular imager formats; It is by no means extensive, and will be subject to further development in the very near future.

At present,
Doktor Jon does not use any 1/4" format CCTV cameras, but the lens focal lengths for this format have been included for the benefit of anyone wishing to use them. The magnifications shown in brackets are an approximate guide only. It is intended to further develop this page, at the earliest opportunity.
