Doktor Jons Guide to the "Use and Application of CCTV"
Having a senior moment - Following a series of incidents where criminal damage was caused to his property, a homeowner in Byfleet Surrey, decided to install CCTV cameras to monitor the area around his home. When his partners car was attacked last October, the CCTV footage revealed his 82 year old neighbour throwing a corrosive liquid over the vehicle. Following a conviction at Woking Magistrates Court, the pensioner was given a three year conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £ 3,000 in compensation.- source - Get Surrey - 1st May 2009
What price freedom ...? - Newly released CCTV recordings showing some of the suicide bombers responsible for the July 7th 2005 attacks on London, have been provided by the Metropolitan Police Service, following a request under the Freedom of Information Act. Scotland Yard had earlier objected to the material being made public, on the basis that it could compromise it's investigations, but this was overruled by the Information Commissioner, who was acting on a formal complaint from The Press Association - source - BigPond News - 2nd May 2009
