Guide to Closed Circuit TV (CCTV)

So would you like to play "Spot the CCTV Camera?". Eagle eyed visitors may recognise the profusion of street furniture, surrounding a single heritage dome camera keeping watch over part  of Londons' prestigious Oxford Street shopping area.


For the first time, Doktor Jon has decided to provide an event preview section, so for the benefit of anyone visiting IFSEC , manufacturers can briefly outline exactly what CCTV products and services, they'll be showing or launching at this years show.
 

Extreme CCTV - Hall 20, Stand Q -116, - contact Emma Wilson
Sharing a stand with their sister company Derwent Systems, Extreme will be showcasing their new PX 100 Day / Night speed dome unit, along with their extensive range of specialist CCTV cameras, including the Extreme Environments and Integrated Day Night™ ranges.

Nice Systems - Hall 6, Stand K -120, - contact Craig Pumpfrey
Launching at this years event, the NiceVision NVR 1600™ network recording solution, along with the NICE FAST alpha blue™ product.
 


AME Optimedia Technology Co. Ltd.
Hall 6, Stand B -71, - contact Ms. Jony Chiang
The company will be showing their new CAI - 2269
(pictured left), ACS - 58, and ACS - 68 cameras, along with their complete range of CCTV products.


ZiLiCA Limited - Hall 6, Stand J -80, - contact Les Letwin
The company will be launching single chip DVR and four video codecs in one chip, along with a new H-264 full duplex codec chip, plus an IP camera H-264 ref design. In addition, they will be displaying a range of component DVR and IP camera solutions for manufacturers to produce in Europe.

Vision Factory - Hall 20, Stand S -130, - contact Michael Garraway
Being exhibited for the first time, the advanced Montage DV multiplexer is a 32 channel Digital unit, compatible with both analogue and IP cameras. It's modular design provides for direct replacement of existing Montage Plus analogue units, and allows display at 4CIF resolution, with a maximum achievable capture rate of 550 frames per second.
Show Promotion - Vision Factory are offering a £ 500 'buy back' against any new Montage Digital system.


Magal Security Systems

Specialists in advanced intelligent CCTV software, Magal will be launching their new "Intelligent Site in Motion" software, which provides high end Video Motion Detection (VMD) , allowing targets tracked on video monitors, to be fully integrated with an online visual display overlaid on either a map or GUI. PTZ cameras can also be set for automatic target tracking without any human intervention. Also on show will be the company's flagship 'DreamBox' unit

The company will be exhibiting their range of IP / CCTV cameras

iOmniscient - Hall 6, Stand G - 71, - contact Mathew Bertram
Introducing the IQ - Implant, the full range of iOmniscients intelligent video analysis software made available on a single DSP chip. Future upgrades and developments can be incorporated into the package, and a 'Lite' version will also be made available for less demanding applications.
Also being demonstrated the IQ - Infinity software package, which provides a powerful range of Video Motion and Non Motion Detection in a single package. The software can be used in a wide range of demanding applications, including complex Behavioural Analysis and Target Tracking.
The IQ - Hawk will also be on show, providing a unique platform for detection and identification of events at the same time, along with the company's complete range of intelligent Video Analysis Software.

The company will be showcasing their latest model iMR - 9048 Hexaplex Digital Video Recorder
(pictured right), alongside a full line up of standalone DVR's.
 


VSK Electronics / IDCS

VSK will be exhibiting their System S 3000 IP based access and video control system, which is also a finalist in the IFSEC show awards.


OT Systems Ltd. - Hall 20, Stand M - 120,

Along with their existing range of 10-bit digital fibre optic transceivers
(pictured left), FM fibre optic equipment and CWDM transmission multiplexers, OT Systems will also be launching their new 8-bit digital fibre optic transceivers, for high quality video transmission.
 


e-mediavision - Hall 6, Stand B - 76, - contact Liz Clarke
The company will be exhibiting their X View multi image display
(pictured right), and X Com control & monitoring systems, used specifically in high end CCTV Control Room applications.
 


FLIR Systems - Hall 6, Stand B - 89, - contact Theresa Turner
Specialists in far Infra Red and thermal imaging camera systems, the TVIS 7 will be launched, alongside the existing TVIS 14, WideEye, Security HD and Nexus product line.

NUUO Technology - Hall 7, Stand 750, - contact Bright Yang
Along with CCTV / IP Cameras and Video Servers, NUUO will be exhibiting their 32 and 64 channel Hybrid Surveillance and Management System, capable of integrating the operation and control of both analogue and digital imaging devices.


Dallmeier Electronic - Hall 6, Stand H - 100, - contact Jason Piggott
The company will be showcasing their new DMS 240 realtime recorder, along with the 24 channel DLS 24H hybrid analogue / IP Digital Video Recorder. Also on show will be the DF 3000 IP-DN wide dynamic 540 line resolution IP camera
(pictured right), plus a demonstration of PDA connectivity with all the company's existing range of DVR recorders.


Milestone Systems

Milestone will be exhibiting their existing range of feature rich XProtect IP Video Surveillance software, currently capable of supporting 135 different network surveillance cameras from 25 individual manufacturers. In addition, they will also be demonstrating their new XProtect Central package, for centralised management of multiple sites, and XProtect Transact
(screenshot - pictured left) which allows the recording and display of data + video from POS or ATM sources.


Sony - Hall 19, Stand T - 10, - contact Carl Pring
Sony will be exhibiting their wide range of both conventional analogue, and IP surveillance products.

Sanyo Europe Ltd. - Hall 20, Stand Q - 100, - contact
Along with their extensive range of CCTV / IP equipment, Sanyo will be showing a number of new "Pan-Focus" cameras, with built in option boards providing a choice of CoAx or RS 485 control, UTP or IP network transmission. In addition, a fully weatherproofed 32" metal cased LCD monitor will be on show, alongside a complete range of DVR recorders, operating on M-JPEG, MPEG 2 and JPEG 2000 encoding, with the upgraded DSR - 50 now capable of up to 3Tb's of storage.

The IP User Group exists to promote the use and understanding of IP technology and network solutions - it now boasts over 9000 members.
