Specialist US based IP Camera manufacturer Arecont Vision have announced the launch of their latest 3 megapixel dual sensor Day / Night network camera. The model AV 3130 boasting 1920 x 1200 resolution at low light levels down to 0.01 lux, and with a full 20 frames per second streaming, was launched at the ISC West show in Las Vegas Nevada. Despite the high specification, the model is offered at prices which compete very favourably with conventional high performance analogue CCTV units - source Arecont Vision 06/04/05
New Vice President appointed
Videotec Spa, the specialist italian based manufacturer of CCTV ancillary equipment, has announced the appointment of Mr Scott Watson, as Vice President in charge of Sales for the expanding U.S. market. With over twenty years experience of the professional video and CCTV industries, Mr Watson has previously worked at prestige manufacturers such as JVC, Toshiba, Ikegami, Panasonic, RCA and Ampex. In welcoming Mr Watson to his new position within the company, Mr Alessio Grotto, President of Videotec Spa said "... we feel that Mr. Watsons experience and market knowledge can help us offer high tech., stylish, reliable, and cost effective products to the US marketplace".

U.S. CCTV manufacturer Pelco has this week announced the launch of a number of new innovative products, including a 50 inch rear projection display system, multiplexed multi channel fibre optic transmission systems, and some new interface device drivers to complement existing key high end products ( more....).

Also news from Pelco, the company's Executive Vice President Ms. Carrie Migliore has been named "Professional Business Woman of the Year" by the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. Commenting on her award, Pelco President and CEO Mr. David L. McDonald said, "...Carrie is not one to seek recognition or the spotlight for her tremendous efforts, so it is wonderful to see her efforts acknowledged by the community".

A growing business - UK based CCTV provider Quadnetics has struck a £ 10 million deal to acquire its Watford based rival Protec. New distributor appointed - News from the U.S., that specialist Californian based system house A4Vision have announced the appointment of Bannerbridge plc, to act as U.K. distributor for their unique 3D facial imaging and recognition technology. A4Vision previously scooped the prestigious 'Best of Show' award at the ISC West 2005 event held in Las Vegas, Nevada during April this year.
